David Selby is a Senior Researcher in the Data Science and its Applications (DSA) group at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). He is also an honorary research associate at University College London Institute of Health Informatics, an honorary research associate in data science at the Centre for Epidemiology Versus Arthritis, University of Manchester, and a visiting researcher at Trinity College Dublin.

His research interests include data science methods for open and reproducible research, the study of networks—particularly academic citation networks—and the analysis of longitudinal self-reported symptom data.
