Islam Mesabah is a researcher and academic specializing in computer science and artificial intelligence. He obtained his Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University (RPTU) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. His master’s thesis focused on the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) for efficient code generation using API documentation, and he also researched evaluation methods for text-style transfer using LLMs. Before his master’s, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the German University in Cairo (GUC), Egypt, where he worked as a teaching assistant for one year.

Since 2023, Islam Mesabah has been a researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Kaiserslautern, within the Department of Data Science and its Applications led by Professor Sebastian Vollmer. His research at DFKI primarily focuses on the application of Large Language Models and the extraction and structuring of key information from image documents. Additionally, he is involved in teaching several courses offered at RPTU Kaiserslautern.
